Meet the Celestial Storyteller

Hi, I'm Svenja.

Pisces Sun, Cancer Moon & Libra Rising.

Astrology and storytelling are my greatest passions and here at the Celestial Storyteller I combine the two.

Whether you want to dig into your own personal story as it is written in the stars, learn how to use astrology for your own life or writing, or watch me create a zodiac fantasy world for my stories, you’re in the right place.

The Storyteller

Before I looked deeper into astrology some five or six years ago, all I knew about the language of the stars was that I am a Pisces—creative, artistic, compassionate, a dreamer. This description fit me like a glove as I loved imagining fantastical worlds for my writing. In fact, my first story was titled Dreamer. This must have been the moment astrology and storytelling first crossed paths in my life, without me knowing that one day the two would be inseparable.

When I wrote Dreamer at twelve years old, I didn’t bother to take a closer look at astrology. Being a Pisces was enough confirmation that I was supposed to be a creative. I spent hours in my room, typing away at the story of Luna, a girl who can foresee the future in her dreams. But even though my family recognized my writing skills, my hope of becoming an author was a pipe dream to them—insubstantial and unrealistic—and my Libra Ascendant, of which I wan’t aware back then, got discouraged. I put the vast Pisces imagination in a cage, wrote less and less. Until I re-discovered astrology.

The Astrologer

During my study of astrology, the language of the stars revealed to me what I had known all along in my childhood heart. That I am and will forever be a creative with a myriad of stories to tell. After finishing my bachelor’s degree in a subject wholly unrelated to my passions, I vowed to shrug off other people’s opinions to which my Libra Ascendant is so susceptible. This time, I would not only direct my heart and mind back to storytelling, but combine it with my love for astrology, because along the journey of losing and finding myself—a very Pisces’ journey—I realized the two belong together.

The Celestial Storyteller

To me, an astrological chart is the outline of someone’s story, an individual and unique journey, never again to be repeated. It must be lived by the person it belongs to or else the story will be but an unread book catching dust on the shelf. Astrology—the language of the stars—can help us get in touch with our life’s outline, like a character getting a glimpse into the author’s plan, so we may write flesh out the story accordingly.

Qualifications

I bought my first astrology book in 2019. Then, I had a long way to go in my studies of astrology, although study never ends, not really. There is always more to learn and I gladly do so.

I dabbled in cookbook astrology until I found Chris Brennan’s Astrology  Podcast on YouTube. Watching his video on the planets and signs pulled me deeper into the world of astrology around the time my daughter was born—both a lucky strike of my Jupiter Return.  In 2022, I began a more extensive self-study journey, making my way through Chris Brennan’s Hellenistic Astrology: The Study of Fate and Fortune as well as both volumes of Demetra George’s Ancient Astrology: In Theory and Practice.

I learnt a lot during this time. I can never get enough of books, fiction or non-fiction, but in 2024 I decided to bring my study to the next level. The end of my university days was approaching, I was about to write my bachelor’s degree in sinology soon—a comparison of Western and Chinese astrology—and by then, the idea of becoming an astrologer had settled in my mind.

During this time, I stumbled onto Heather Eland’s YouTube channel and registered for the Cosmic Academy of Astrology. I finished the course in July 2025 as well as Marie O’Neill’s Astrology StoryTelling course at Kepler College. Since then, my study of astrology has come full circle. I am now widening my horizons with books yet again, but am still on the lookout for the next course should the times align.
